Well, the time has finally come folks, after almost an entire first year under our belts were still going strong, except for the donations. Therefore, I have to finally come to plead to all members and visitors to make a donation to AHA, even if you only have a dollar to spare. These funds will go towards the usual hosting fees (about $10.00 a month) and a few other really low cost upkeep expenses to keep our website updated, usable and of course, keep our members and their information and passwords secure through constant anti-hacking updates, tricks, plugins and a watchful eye!
Yet, Even more exciting is that if we can get over this $15.00-$20.00 basic upkeep and hosting monthly expenses hump, than we would like to try and raise even more donations for some very exciting ideas we have come up with for helping spread the word and lifestyle of sobriety and the information and tools to stick with it. These new additions, if they become monitarily feasible, can include some or even all of the following ideas listed below. Also if you are reading this, we would love for you to take a minute out of your busy day and comment on this article regarding any other website addition ideas as well as your thoughts on which ones of ours you like or dislike and why!
POSSIBLE AHA ADDITIONS:
1) New Guest Bloggers (PAID) to write on a variety of new and exciting topics. Many of these bloggers, several of which we are already in talks with are true experts and innovators in the field of addiction.
2) NA and/or AA “Big Book” giveaways. (NA Hardcover or Softcover Books – $11.00) (AA “Big Book” Softcover – $7.00)
3) Other Addiction related materials and literature giveaways.
4) New Embedded YouTube, “Addiction-based” videos created solely for AHA. Videos to include mostly interviews with top addiction professionals as well as maybe even addiction documentaries in the future.
5) Anything else our members want! (Please leave comments regarding new features you would personally enjoy or find helpful!)
So as we near the end of our first year here at AHA, we have finally had to plead and beg to our members and visitors to kick a few dollars our way to keep us online and helping those who our in dire need and whose lives are at stake this very moment. We have included a PayPal donation button at the end of this article, yet this button is and has been available since the very beginning and will always be available in the future. It is located in the right sidebar, all the way near the bottom under the title, “Help Keep A.H.A. Online” and if you follow the button and check out our donation form and recognition wall you will see the very sad fact that over our first year we received, Guess How Many Donations???? The answer is NONE. You may also locate the donation form and recognition wall through the main navigation bar under “Site Meta” and then “Donation Form and Recognition Wall” Come on guys, get your wallets out, donate to a good cause, and stop being such stingy members. Just Kidding, we truly appreciate all your guys and girls support whether it be monetarily or just checking our our website once in awhile and leaving a thought provoking comment.
